Ridgeway started because managing a property in Johannesburg meant juggling six contractors, none of whom answered the phone on a Friday afternoon.
Our story
Ridgeway was founded in 2014 by two property managers who were spending more time chasing contractors than managing buildings. The plumber would not come out. The electrician arrived without the right parts. The cleaning company changed staff every fortnight and nobody knew where the keys were.
The idea was simple. Bring the trades in house, put permanent staff on permanent contracts, and give property managers one number to call instead of six. If something breaks, it gets fixed by someone who already knows the building.
Eleven years on, we look after more than four hundred properties across greater Johannesburg, from single residential complexes to multi tenant office parks. The model has not changed. Permanent teams, assigned properties, and the same person answering the phone every time you call.

If we commit to a time, we are there. If something goes wrong and we cannot make it, you get a call before the appointment, not an hour after it.
Permanent staff only
Every person on your site is a Ridgeway employee, vetted and background checked. We do not subcontract cleaning or maintenance to day labour.
Written scope, fixed price
You approve a scope and a price before work starts. If something outside that scope comes up, we call you before spending your money.
Compliance is not optional
All electrical and plumbing work is signed off properly. When your insurer asks for documentation, you have it.
