FAQ

Questions we get asked.

If your question is not here, phone us. We would rather answer it properly than have you guess.

Getting started

Do you charge for a site assessment?

No. We come out, walk the property with you and give you a written proposal at no cost. You are under no obligation to go ahead.

How quickly can you start?

For contracted maintenance, usually within two weeks of signing. For once off work, often the same week depending on the scope and whether parts need ordering.

Do you work with body corporates and managing agents?

Yes, a large part of our book is sectional title and managing agent work. We are used to trustee meetings, AGM reporting and the approval processes that come with it.

Services and scope

Do I have to take all the services?

No. Most clients start with one or two and add more over time. You can contract cleaning only, or maintenance only, and expand later.

What counts as an emergency callout?

Anything that poses a safety risk or is causing active damage. Burst pipes, electrical faults, failed access gates and security breaches all qualify. Our average response is four hours.

Do you service equipment you did not install?

Yes. A good portion of our security and access work is maintaining systems somebody else installed and then disappeared on.

Are your staff vetted?

Every person is a permanent Ridgeway employee, background checked and uniformed. We do not use day labour or subcontract cleaning and maintenance staff.

Pricing and contracts

How is pricing structured?

Contracted maintenance is a fixed monthly fee based on the property size and the agreed scope. Once off and emergency work is quoted per job, with the rate agreed upfront.

What is the minimum contract term?

Twelve months for contracted maintenance, with a sixty day notice period. Once off work has no contract requirement.

Are you insured?

Yes, we carry public liability cover and all staff are covered under COIDA. Certificates are available on request and are included in every proposal.

What happens if work falls outside the agreed scope?

We phone you before doing anything that costs money outside the scope. You will never receive an invoice for work you did not approve.

Get a proper quote, not a guess.

Send us the details of your property and we will come out, assess the site and give you a scoped written proposal. No cost, no obligation.
